Bio

Mark Rabinowitz is the co-founder of seminal independent film news service indieWIRE.com and has been active in the independent film world as a journalist, producer, acquisitions executive, film festival staffer and consultant since 1995. He served as co-producer on the award-winning feature The Forgotten (Vincente Stasolla, 2003) and co-wrote and produced the short film Delinquent’s Derby (Andy Hudson, 1995), which co-starred Jimmy Kimmel in his screen debut. In 2004-5, he co-founded both Cinematical.com and TVSquad.com for Weblogs Inc. and from 2001-2, he was the film critic for national magazine Alternative Press. He has written for such publications as Screen International/Screendaily.com, AOL Europe, E! Online, IFC.com, Utne Reader, Independent Film & Video Monthly, Time Out New York, Filmmaker Magazine and others. He was also Community Editor for FordBoldMoves.com, a Clio and ANDY Award-winning brand journalism campaign for Ford Motor Company.
