Maysaa Almumin is a Kuwaiti filmmaker based in Qatar. In 2021, she was named an Arab Star of Tomorrow by Screen International and became a fellow of Film Independent’s 2025 Global Media Makers Residency class.

She received grants from AFAC and the Doha Film Institute for her short films, screening at international festivals including A-list film festivals such as, Tampere and the Cairo International Film Festival, which earned her an exclusive streaming partnership with Netflix, which was on the platform from 2022 to 2025.

Maysaa is currently developing her first feature film, All the Colours Blue, which participated in Cairo Film Connection.
