Former vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions and Co- Productions for Paramount Pictures, Monica Chuo has spent the last decade of her career identifying talented filmmakers, writers, and producers to work with. She has acquired projects ranging from art-house to big budget commercial films for distribution in the global marketplace. Chuo is well-versed in theatrical market trends and growth opportunities around the world, and possesses a profound appreciation for diverse storytelling stemming from different cultural perspectives. Though having worked predominantly as a studio executive (Paramount, Artisan Entertainment, Samuel Goldwyn Films, MGM), Chuo has moonlighted as a new media strategist, baseball consultant, and publishing editor. She holds an MFA from USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program.
