After 17 years in advertising, winning numerous awards as Creative Director, Morné Strydom co-founded One More Cup of Coffee Films in 2019, venturing into independent filmmaking. He wrote and directed the short film “Twintig Tone in ’n Hangkas”, which earned five 2022 Silwerskerm festival nominations, including Best Director and Best Picture, and won Best Short Film at the Dances with Films Festival in New York. He has written two feature films and is a writer on Showmax’s 90-part drama, Wyfie, collaborating with director Johan Cronje to shape the series. Morné is currently in post-production with his feature film directorial debut, Soos Pynappel op Pizza (Showmax Original).
