Bio

Nico Blanco is a queer filmmaker from Bogotá, Colombia, based in Los Angeles, where he attended the AFI Conservatory. His work explores desire, identity and belonging across fiction and documentary. An alum of the Film Independent Imaginar Producers Residency and The Gotham Project Market, he is currently working on the immigration and nature documentary Madre Tierra, the queer nightlife film Born to be Kissed in the Dark and the Tom House doc House of Leather. His feature Unspoken premiered at BFI Flare 2024, while his shorts Miénteme and Cowboy, Choker, Harness & Heart have screened internationally.
