Nishant is a National Award-winning writer and director whose work explores intimacy, memory, and the politics of identity through a lyrical lens. His debut short, The Threshold (2016), won the National Award for Best Debut Film and screened at festivals including TIFF and Palm Springs ShortFest. His second short, Pariah (2022), premiered in New York.

Alongside his filmmaking, he has worked in creative development across film and television, including as a script consultant at Fox Star Studios and as an executive producer at Zee Studios, where he worked on Sairat (2016). He is currently developing his debut feature.
