Bio

Salvatore Esposito is a documentary photographer and director specializing in long-term projects that document humanity. In 2014, he directed La Cella Zero, a short film that recounts violence inflicted on inmates by prison officers in Poggioreale prison in Naples. The film received six awards for Best Director. In 2016, he directed his second short film, La Forza del Silenzio, which tells the story of two autistic twins. He is currently working on two feature-length documentaries: one exploring violence and the widespread use of knives in crime, and another addressing the sensitive issue of surrogacy among same-sex couples.
