Bio

Sean Baker is a New York native and a graduate of NYU film school. Take Out, Baker’s 2nd feature, is a social-realist drama about an undocumented Chinese immigrant in New York City. Take Out was theatrically released in June 2008. It went on to be nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and released on DVD by Kino Entertainment. Baker’s third feature Prince of Broadway, also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and the winner of 18 festival wins including 6 for Best Picture, was released theatrically by Elephant Eye Films in September 2010. Baker’s 2nd career lies in mainstream comedy television. He co-created the FOX and IFC series Greg the Bunny, and most recently directed, wrote and executive produced the MTV series Warren the Ape.
