Sourav Sarangi is an Indian filmmaker and FTII alumnus celebrated for his lyrical documentaries on human resilience. His multi-award-winning works, Bilal and Char… the No-Man’s Island, have premiered and won accolades at prestigious festivals including Berlinale, IDFA, Sydney, Yamagata and Busan. A distinguished Nipkow Fellow (Germany) and Global Media Makers Fellow (USA). Souravs’ storytelling bridges ethnographic depth with visual poetry and is studied in academic institutions worldwide. He frequently serves as an international jury member and mentor for emerging filmmakers.
