Suman Sen is an Indian-based filmmaker working across Asia, crafting intimate stories within immersive social landscapes. His Oscar-qualified debut short, The Silent Echo, won 15 major awards across 80+ festivals, securing a distribution deal with HBO, and is currently streaming on Nowness Asia. His second short, Cry Me A River, premiered at the Palm Springs Film Festival and the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. His third, The Artist, premiered at Busan as a Channel X BIFF Asian Film Academy fellow. His debut feature, Eka, supported by CNC, Screen Australia, and Screen NSW, is currently in pre-production.
