Suraj Paudel is a writer, director, and editor from Nepal. His debut short, Rihanna (2024) premiered at the Busan International Film Festival. As an editor, his work on Lori (2022) earned a Special Mention at the Cannes Film Festival. A fellow of the CHANEL × BIFF Asian Film Academy and recipient of the Most Promising Filmmaker Award (2022), he is currently in pre-production on The Freezer, with the support of MASO#1 and IDM Short Film Fund. In addition, Suraj is currently developing Where the River Runs South, selected for Film Independent’s Global Media Makers LA Residency, Asian Project Market, and Asian Cinema Fund.
