Sushant Shrestha has been active in the Nepali film industry since 2010. He transitioned into producing in 2016, with films premiering at major international festivals including Berlin, Busan, Oberhausen, Durban, and Seattle.

Sushant has a deep interest in shedding light on untold stories of the region; his work centers on narratives that reflect the cultural, political, and emotional landscapes of South Asia.

Sushant completed a six-month Producing program at the Busan Asian Film School and is a Berlinale Talents 2025 participant and Global Media Makers fellow.

Sushant co-founded CHALACHITRA LAB, an initiative dedicated to nurturing South Asian filmmakers and fostering regional collaboration.
