Born in India, Sushma is a writer/director based in NYC. She was listed in Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces of Film” (2021) and was one of “12 Filmmakers to Watch” as the finalist for Lynn Shelton’s “Of a certain” age grant. Her short film ANITA premiered at Venice in 2020 and was acquired by Focus Features and Canal+. Sushma is currently developing her feature project, Salt, which is a recipient of the SFFilm Westridge Grant and participated in the Gotham Week Market as well as Torino NEXT Lab. Sushma is an alumna of the Film MFA Program at Columbia University.
