Bio

Tara Sheffer is an award-winning filmmaker from Arkansas with an MFA from NYU Tisch. She has produced over twenty-five short films, including Trapped (SXSW Special Jury Award Winner), Flounder (Clermont Ferrand and Vimeo Staff Pick), Plaisir (SXSW and Searchlight Short), and line-produced The Letter Room (Academy Award nominee for Best Live Action Short Film). Sheffer’s previous positions include coordinator at the Department of Motion Pictures and assistant to Scott Rudin. She is a Sundance Producers Lab fellow, a Gotham/Rotterdam Producers Lab fellow, and the recipient of the Oberman, Pickert, and Media Services Producing Award for excellence in creative producing.
