Zulay Riascos is a screenwriter and director of the web series “Permission to Be Absent,” the developing short film “The Time We Were,” and the developing feature film They Let Us Go to the Sea. She produced the short film “It Happened to Me Too” and the web series “Resilient Guardians from Body and Soul.” She holds a Master’s degree in cultural management and audiovisual production, curated the “Afro Show of Bogotá” in 2019 and 2020, leads the territorial strategy of the Bogotá Cinematheque, and is a co-founder of the women’s movement in the audiovisual sector, MUSA. She also conducts workshops on self-recognition and Afro-Colombian identity.
