Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to watch Sheepdog in the Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room, powered by Vision Media, followed by a pre-recorded conversation with writer/director Steven Grayhm and actors Vondie Curtis Hall, Dominic Fumusa and Matt Dallas, moderated by Jenn Wilson (Senior Programmer, Film Independent).

Decorated U.S. Army combat veteran Calvin Cole is court ordered into treatment and into the care of a VA trauma therapist in-training, who works the night shift at a local diner to pay for college. Things become even more complicated when Calvin’s father-in-law, a retired Vietnam Veteran, shows up on his doorstep having just been released from prison. As Calvin’s plan to run from his past becomes even more challenging, he learns through the support of his community, tough love and compassion, that he must put himself back together again for his family – and for himself.

Sheepdog has been hailed as “one of the best films of the year” after a sold-out nationwide festival run, sweeping major awards including Best Picture, Director, Screenplay and Acting, and Audience Choice. The film stars Academy Award nominee Virginia Madsen, Emmy nominee Vondie Curtis Hall, Tony nominee Lilli Cooper, SAG nominee Dominic Fumusa, Matt Dallas, and writer/director Steven Grayhm in a breakout performance as U.S. Army veteran Calvin Cole.

Online Screening Policies
