Festival Visions: Night in West Texas

Festival Visions, now in its third year, is a series that shines a light on films discovered this year in regional film festivals across the US. We’re excited to present these exceptional titles that are currently without distribution and deserve to be seen by a wider audience.

You’re invited to join us for an online screening of Night in West Texas, followed by a pre-recorded conversation with director Deborah S. Esquinazi moderated by James Faust (Artistic Director, Dallas International Film Festival).

Night in West Texas was selected for Festival Visions in partnership with the Dallas International Film Festival and will screen alongside Tiger. (Remember, no need to register for both of these titles – as long as you register for one film, you’ll be able to see both.)

Forty years after a gay Apache man is framed for the brutal murder of a closeted Catholic priest, a police chief uncovers long-buried evidence that shakes up the small, oil-rich West Texas town that imprisoned him.

2025, 83 minutes, color | Director Deborah S. Esquenazi | Featuring James Harry Reyos, Allison Clayton | Producer Daniel J. Chalfen, Adrienne Collatos, James Costa | Executive Producer Scott Brown, Megan Creydt, Jim Butterworth, Trevor Burgess, Ken Nolan, Christina Nolan
