Free Screening: Office Christmas Party
Free Screening: Office Christmas Party
Includes a conversation with directors Josh Gordon and Will Speck
From Josh Gordon and Will Speck, the directors of the 2007 athletic dysfunction comedy, Blades of Glory, which turned Will Ferrell and Jon Heder into the world’s most antagonistic—and first—male pairs skaters, comes this entry into a look at the inner workings of family business, and the business of… Christmas. As with Glory, Gordon and Speck assemble an enviable cast of comedic talent. In the case of Party, it includes Jennifer Aniston as the hard-charging CEO who’s determined to bring her company in line by shutting down the failing branch run by her brother (T.J. Miller of Silicon Valley and Deadpool), who is to the pursuit of fun what his serious-minded sister is to the pursuit of profit. He sets into motion a plan to throw a big party that will juice failing office morale and impress a potential client, saving the company in the process. Office Christmas Party also stars Jason Bateman, Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters, Saturday Night Live) Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat), Vanessa Bayer (Saturday Night Live) and Matt Walsh (Veep).
