Live Read: Stand By Me

Advance tickets are no longer available for this event.

  • A limited number of tickets will be available at the door two hours before the published start time of the event for Film Independent, LACMA Film Club, and The New York Times Film Club members.

The creator of the much loved, and internationally duplicated—but never matched—Live Read, award-winning writer Jason Reitman returns to the stage of the Bing to stage his second edition of the event in 2016. As tradition dictates, Reitman will choose a film classic and bring his own particular spin to the material by recasting it with a group of well-known and equally talented performers. The title will be announced shortly before the production, and Reitman will tweet the names of the actors in the week before the March Live Read takes place.
