Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to watch Take Me Home in the Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room, powered by Vision Media, followed by a pre-recorded conversation with writer/director Liz Sargent.

Anna (Anna Sargent, making her acting debut), a middle-aged Korean adoptee with a cognitive disability, cares for her aging parents in a fragile balance of meeting one another’s needs. Alongside her sister Emily (Ali Ahn) and her father (Victor Slezak), they must confront challenging questions about the future, but Anna remains determined to build a life where all of them can thrive.

From WILLA, Take Me Home premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival where it the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award for Liz Sargent, and producer Apoorva Guru Charan won the Amazon MGM Fiction Producer’s Award.

Charan is a three-time Film Independent Fellow, having taken part in Project Involve in 2019, and Producing Lab and Fast Track in 2020.

Online Screening Policies
