Whether it’s in an elevator room, in a room or on Zoom, if you’re shopping a project, you need to be ready to seize the moment when an opportunity arrives.
Join us as seasoned filmmakers Tatiana Kelly and Jim Young provide valuable tips and advice to help you prepare (or sharpen) your pitch. They’ll cover dos and don’ts, share examples of their own pitch decks, and explore different pitching scenarios. The session will allow for attendees to ask questions and engage in interactive play.

About the speakers
Tatiana Kelly’s producing credits include Reddit’s first show, PS Battles Live, featuring host Patti Harrison, and guests including Trixie Mattel, Michael Ian Black, Kal Penn, and Kate Flannery; The Catcher Was a Spy, starring Paul Rudd, Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce, Jeff Daniels, and Paul Giamatti; Cut Throat City, directed by RZA and starring Ethan Hawke, Terrence Howard, and Eiza Gonzalez; The Words, starring Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Irons, JK Simmons, Zoe Saldana, and Olivia Wilde; The Procession, written and directed by Academy Award nominee Robert Festinger, and starring Lily Tomlin and Jesse Tyler Ferguson; Sunset Stories, starring Monique Curnen, Sung Kang, and Joshua Leonard; and NAACP Image Award Nominee Life of a King, starring Cuba Gooding Jr. Kelly’s first film, Wristcutters: A Love Story, earned two Film Independent Spirit Award nominations.
Film and podcast producer Jim Young began his career with the Showtime documentary Year of the Bull, followed by the Paramount thriller Homecoming. His film credits include Don McKay, starring Thomas Haden Church; The Words with Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana; Lovelace with Amanda Seyfried and Sharon Stone; and NAACP Image Award nominee Life of a King. He also produced The Man Who Knew Infinity with Dev Patel and Jeremy Irons; The Catcher Was a Spy with Paul Rudd, Guy Pearce and Paul Giamatti; and RZA’s Cut Throat City. His upcoming projects include Lords of Florence and Eleven Missing Days. Young has developed content for major studios and streamers including Fox, Amazon, Apple+, Sony, ABC, and CBS. In audio, he produced the Ambie-nominated Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, as well as hit podcasts Westward with Dan Patrick; The League with Richard Sherman & Taylor Rooks, and Shadowball with Jemele Hill for Audible.
