Synopsis

Mr Loverman follows Barrington “Barry” Jedidiah Walker, a 74-year-old Antiguan-born man living in London who, for 60 years, has secretly had a passionate affair with his best friend, Morris, while married to his religious wife, Carmel. The story explores the complexities of a double life, homosexuality within the Black British community, and the impact of coming out as an older man, ultimately forcing Barry to make choices that will change his entire family’s future.
