After a vicious solar storm causes a global internet outage, three internet-pilled friends are forced to learn how to live offline.
Synopsis
2002! is a six-episode dark comedy web series about what happens when the internet dies – and your entire personality goes with it. Three extremely online roommates – Finn, a painfully insecure fintech bro; Liza, a sparky online it-girl; and Grace, a comedian (whose last reel just went viral btw– did you see?) – fresh out of college and convinced they’re gaming adulthood, are blindsided when an apocalyptic solar storm permanently wipes out the internet. Also their fourth housemate, Frank? Well, Frank went camping and was supposed to be back on Wednesday… but Wednesday was two weeks ago…and now that they think about it, he probably can’t get out of Yosemite without Google Maps.
Of course, this trio aren’t dramatic or out of touch people. They’re actually really, really normal and chill – but they’ve never known a world without Google or a like button. So with the internet gone, it’s not just an outage – it’s a full-blown identity crisis.
