Logline

Byron, 18, is a freshman in college who lives his life vicariously through his beliefs in Jesus but learns quickly that the world doesn’t share his same views.

Synopsis

Byron Jeffers Jr., a handsome but endearingly clumsy “Preacher’s Kid,” arrives at Johnson C. Smith University with his devout faith as his compass. His sheltered world is immediately rocked by two forces: his estranged, secular-minded childhood friend, Alex, and the mesmerizing Summer, a stunning and popular student who seems too good to be true.

For the first time in his life, Byron finds himself seen and desired. But as he’s drawn deeper into Summer’s intoxicating world, he faces ominous warnings from Alex and Summer’s own friends to keep his distance. Torn between his lifelong convictions and a powerful new allure, Byron is forced to navigate a minefield of social pressures, parties, and secrets where one choice could lead to either spiritual salvation or a devastating fall.
