After receiving a life-threatening diagnosis Harper’s entire world is turned upside down when she finds herself under the care of a disinterested doctor.

Synopsis

Pieces of Eleanor follows Harper, a medical school dropout living in a small suburban community in Georgia. Still adjusting to her mother’s death, Harper is ever watchful over her younger spunky sister, Jazz. Together, the two sisters always have each other’s backs.

After being diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition, Harper’s entire world is turned upside down when she finds herself under the care of a disinterested doctor who further endangers her life when he fails to prioritize her health and constantly ignores her concerns.

Inspired by the writer/director’s own experience of nearly losing her life after being misdiagnosed by multiple doctors, Pieces of Eleanor is a drama highlighting real-life issues that women face when dealing with reproductive health issues. The story also touches upon a common thread that most women don’t feel seen or heard by their doctors. Even more daunting is the number of BIPOC women (Black Indigenous People of Color) who experience medical disparities at an alarming rate.

With the support of her family and a loving community, Harper sets out on a journey to discover her reason to fight!
