Logline
On a Tuesday in Los Angeles, Mara moves through her day before an accidental honk at a red light escalates into a fatal act of road rage.
Synopsis
Mara wakes on a Tuesday in her Los Angeles apartment with her cat, Oatmeal. She ignores a call from her mother, makes coffee, and heads out with her notebook. In the park, she eats a sandwich and writes. Later, she responds to a Craigslist listing and finds herself in a nearly empty apartment where a man interviews her for a vague “life logistics” role. She leaves without accepting.
Back home, she texts her mother that things are good. She decides to pick up comfort food for a TV marathon and brings Oatmeal with her to a drive-thru. She sings along to the radio as she drives. When her ice cream falls onto the center console at a red light, she leans down to grab it and accidentally hits the horn. The driver in front of her steps out of his car and approaches her window. He pulls out a gun and shoots her. Mara dies instantly.
The film remains inside the car. Oatmeal hides, then cautiously emerges and begins licking melted ice cream from the console as a DJ announces the time and the day.
