Bushra Burney is a Pakistani-American writer, performer and project manager who grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and is now based in Los Angeles. She is a 2025 Film Independent Project Involve Fellow. Her plays with stories fueled by underrepresented character dynamics have been chosen for new works festivals, and her drama feature Jameela at the Bat was a finalist in the 1497 Features Lab and has placed in other competitions. She also wrote and performed a one-person show and is working on a new one. She is always on the quest for a great cup of coffee.
