Jake Kolton is a New York–based writer/director. His debut short, Catherine (2018), was named one of Nobudge’s films of the year. His subsequent short, Monster (2018), premiered at Nitehawk Shorts Festival, winning the cinematography award and later selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Kolton’s latest short, Bruised Fruit Tastes Sweeter (2021), premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and screened at Palm Springs ShortFest, Inside Out and Flicker’s Rhode Island, among others. He is currently developing his debut feature, But We Slept Soundly, which was selected to take part in the 2024 Gotham Week Project Market.
