Joseph East is a director, cinematographer and producer. He directed the documentary I Will Dance, which aired on PBS and was selected for the National Endowment for the Arts Southern Circuit tour. He was cinematographer on the documentary Refuge (DOC NYC, 2021). East won a 2021 Southeast Emmy for the series Your Fantastic Mind. He co-directed and produced the short documentary Winn. Winner of the Reel South Short Award and PBS Short Film Festival Juried Prize, Winn is supported by IF/THEN Shorts and Field of Vision and streaming on PBS. Currently, East is co-directing the upcoming feature documentary, Counted.
