Bio

Juan Pablo Richter was born in Trinidad, Bolivia, on February 9, 1982. He studied Film Directing and Social Communication. He wrote and directed the feature films El Río (2018), 98 Seconds Without Shadow (2021), and Lemu, which is currently in post-production. As an editor, he has worked on several Bolivian features, including Bárbara (2018) and Santa Clara (2019) by Pedro Antonio Gutiérrez, Gaspar (2021) by Diego Pino, Blood-Red Ox (2021) by Rodrigo Bellott, and Llajua by Nakai Mirtenbaum, now in post-production. He is co-director of the ISLAB Bolivia writing workshop and has taught screenwriting and directing since 2010 in Bolivia and internationally.
