Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to watch Mark, Mary & Some Other People in our Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room, powered by Vision Media. A special pre-recorded conversation with writer/director/producer Hannah Marks, and actors Hayley Law and Ben Rosenfield, moderated by Ryan Lattanzio (Weekend Editor, IndieWire), is included as part of this screening experience.

Mark and Mary, acquaintances from college, run into each other at a drug store as Mary is buying a pregnancy test. The test is negative and the two wind up dating and rapidly falling for each other. Mark has a more traditional view of relationships and Mary’s view is more modern and progressive. They try “ethical non-monogamy” at Mary’s request, and create their own version of an open relationship, while also trying to balance their fledgling careers and friendships. Through a series of ups and downs, Mary starts to realize she’s more traditional than she thought, whereas Mark starts to open up and see the world differently through Mary and a polyamorous lens.

From Vertical Entertainment, Mark, Mary & Some Other People will be showing in select theaters and available On Demand November 5.

All Film Independent Members can register for this online screening starting at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 25. | Registration is free; one registration per Membership. | Proof of Member status is required to complete registration.

On the first day of screening availability, registered Members (and guests, when applicable) will be emailed a secure link by our partner Vision Media to watch this title in the Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room.

Online Screening Policies

Availability window and registration capacity may vary; always register as early as possible to ensure access. Links are watermarked, nontransferable and may only be used by the Member who completed the registration. Limit one link per Membership, per event.
