Bio

Jessica D. Shields is writer and filmmaker originally from Atlanta. She is a MFA candidate in the Screenwriting/Directing program at Columbia University and is an alum of Vanderbilt University. Shields has directed films in Asia and the United States. As a theatre artist she has worked with the Nashville Reparatory Theatre, Synchronicity Theatre and the Tony-Award winning Alliance Theatre. Shields is an Alfred P. Sloan Treatment winner. Her pilot Acting Out was a Humanitas Prize nominee and her pilot Rue Pigalle was a finalist in the Showtime Tony Cox Screenwriting
Competition.
