Josh Penn is an Academy Award nominated producer, whose films have won over 100 awards, most notably Beasts of the Southern Wild, which won Sundance’s Grand Jury Prize and Cannes’ Camera d’Or, and was nominated for four Academy Awards. In addition, Penn received Sundance and Indian Paintbrush’s Producer’s Award and was a nominee for Outstanding Producer at the 2013 Producers Guild Awards. He also produced the films Tchoupitoulas and Glory at Sea. Upcoming projects include several feature debuts of top emerging filmmakers including Ray Tintori, Mark Elijah Rosenberg and Sara Dosa. Penn previously worked as the Michigan New Media Director for President Obama’s 2008 campaign and as Senior Program Manager for the re-election campaign.
