Bio

A Venice, CA native of Puerto Rican descent, Nicco Ardin grew up in an eclectic environment roaming the artists’ studios at Otis Parsons where her father studied painting, and observing the rituals of Santeria while her mother pursued a doctorate on the subject. Eventually, she left the west coast for New York to study Economics at Barnard College where she graduated with honors. After a brief stint as an Account Executive at the consumer products magnate Procter & Gamble, she decided to pursue more creative endeavors, which led her to MTV where she advanced from Production Management to Producing and Directing four seasons of the highly esteemed series Making the Video. Since her tenure at MTV, Ardin has flourished into a multi-faceted producer who has created content for many networks including Comedy Central, BET, Lifetime, Discovery, A&E, VH1, BET, Style, and Showtime throughout the US, Europe, and in South Africa, Mexico, and Canada. In 2007, Ardin formed Quota Productions with her partner Benjamin Hurvitz, which has independently produced multiple music videos (including MTV MVA Nominee “No Matter What” for the Grammy-Award winner T.I.), a number of web series and, most recently, the wraparounds segment for the internationally acclaimed genre anthology “The Theatre Bizarre” featuring Udo Kier. Ardin is currently the Executive in Charge of Production at Brownstone Entertainment with projects in development at A&E, Style, VH1, and The Food Network. Finding inspiration in a variety of activities, she enjoys sailing, cooking, and spinning turntables in her spare time.
