A Dream to Remember: Revisit Our Favorite Moments from the 2016 LA Film Festival

As of this morning the 2016 LA Film Festival, which ran from June 1-9 at our new home at the ArcLight Cinemas in Culver City, plus additional venues citywide, has been wrapped for four days. It was an exciting year and we’re extremely grateful to everyone who contributed their time and talents to make the Festival possible, from the programmers, to the filmmakers, to the volunteers, sponsors, press, industry attendees, vendors, civic leaders and general audience members.

Nearly a week later, those of us on staff who were lucky enough to actually work on the Festival are still walking around in a somnambulistic daze, struggling to wake up from a vivid, nine-day-long lucid dream—the Festival can’t really be over, can it? But it is, as they say: all good things

So forgive us for trying to hold on to that warm-and-fuzzy #LAFilmFestival feeling, even as the memories are already evaporating from our long term memory banks like spilled spilt beads Peroni beer rapidly evaporating from the molded-plastic armrests of a Culver Studios Adirondack chair in the warm Westside sun.

Hopefully you were able to join us for at least part of the fun. But if not, you can see what you missed and/or relive some of our favorite moments with this look back at our daily Festival recaps. So come on, let’s hop in the time machine:
