Film Independent is bringing back Shop Talk, an occasional series featuring key figures in the film & TV industry discussing their work. This month, we welcome literary manager Jewerl Ross, founder of Silent R Management, whose clients include writer/directors Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) and Patrick Wang (The Grief of Others); and writers Our Lady J (Transparent) and Evan Endicott (Into the Badlands).

Ross will discuss the role of a lit manager (vs. an agent), what he looks for in a client, how he finds new talent, and offer tips for those seeking representation.
