The title of this piece is a nod to the first line of George Orwell’s 1984, in which the clocks were “striking thirteen,” and refers to contemporary methods of surveillance. Viewers, using devices capable of GPS tracking to activate the artwork, can experience the piece by looking “through” their screens at the artwork in the air above and listening to the accompanying sound.
