David Fenster

Bio

David Fenster’s debut feature Trona has played numerous festivals in 2006. In 2007 it will screen at the Museum of Modern Art and will air on television in Europe. Fenster has also directed numerous shorts, including Iron Worm, commissioned by the band Interpol, and Post Apocalypse Now, which premiered at RESfest. Fenster grew up in Miami, Florida and took his BA from University of Florida and his MFA from California Institute of the Arts. Currently he is completing his first documentary feature, Wood, the first in a series on natural resources.

Fenster is an alumnus of the 2005 Los Angeles Film Festival with Trona.

Logline

A drifter runs over a little girl and becomes the lover of her bereaved mother. For their relationship to survive, the couple must deal with the ghosts of the past and withstand the small town prejudice of Dust Bowl era Oklahoma.
