The Portal returns. For the first time outside of the LA Film Festival – and the second time ever – Film Independent will showcase the most exciting new animated, documentary and fictional storytelling in 360, virtual, augmented and mixed reality from exhibitions around the world, in partnership with Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television.
These platforms provide cutting-edge content creators an ever-expanding space to work at the intersection of imagery, audio and interactivity. Adventurous audiences can explore the best of modern XR and immersive visual storytelling at the LMU Playa Vista Campus, September 20–22, 2019.
The Portal will be FREE and open to Film Independent Members and the general public. Members will be able to RSVP in advance of the general public, with added benefits at The Portal and year-round for Arts Circle Members.
